Questions and answers

Hi - this looks like an update/replacement for the Pro but now has the same 500 head size as the Ultimate and Elite vs the previous 470. Is this correct? What's the difference between this and an Ultimate - same size, string pattern etc
This racket does have the same head size as the Sonic Core Ultimate 132, but is slightly lighter weight (130 grams) but has an even balance to offer a combination of power and control.
Hi, I am hesitating between the Dunlop Iconic 130 and the Ashaway Powerkill 120 meta. Would the iconic 130 be really more powerful with the extra weight?
Both rackets would have similar power level as although the Dunlop is a heavier weight, it has an even balance, whereas the Ashaway has a head heavy balance to help generate power.
Hi - Would you recommend this racket to a beginner? Thank you
We would not recommend this as a a beginner frame. For someone starting out we would normally recommend a racket which a large forgiving sweet sport, like a teardrop racket.
Do you know when these are going to be back in stock? Thanks
This racket should be due back in stock w/c 31/7/23.
Would you restring it with natural gut ?
Unfortunately we do not offer natural gut restrings.
I'd be interested in your thoughts on this Iconic 130 v the Powerkill 120ZX and also the power comparison with the 125 X-TOP. Thank you for your advice.
The Tecnifibre Carboflex 125 X-Top would be the most powerful out of these racket due to being a tear drop head shape. As the other two are the classic head shape this helps offer more control, whilst the head heavy balance will increase power potential.
Do you have a modern version of the legendary hot melt pro frame?
The closest model to the Dunlop Hot Melt Pro would be the Sonic Elite 135 as this has a slightly heavier frame weight than the Iconic 130, which would be closer to the Hot Melt Pro.
How does this version compare to the previous model now the head size has changed? Is there a difference in power or control?
This racket has a 500cm2 head size which is bigger than both the Elite and Ultimate so will offer increased power, but still great levels of control from Classic head shape
What string type and tension does the racket come with as standard?
This racket comes pre strung in Dunlop Iconic Pro AF at approximately 24lbs from factory.
Which is the more powerful racket between the iconic and the elite?
The Dunlop Sonic Core Iconic 130 would be slightly more powerful than the Elite 135 as it has a slightly larger head size.
Hi. Could you do an offer on 2 of these please? Thanks
The current website price would be the best available price.

A legendary Dunlop control frame brought up to date with added Sonic Core and Flex Touch Resin technologies. Get control with the conventional head and the power from a 500cm2 head shape.

Powered by Srixon. The Sonic Core series is made with Infinergy® by BASF – a super elastic material, with the benefit of being very light, the perfect match to meet the demands of the modern day player.

Infinergy® foam developed by BASF, the world’s first E-TPU, has significantly higher rebound properties to other materials such as EPP, EVA and EPE. When Infinergy® foam is combined with the Sonic Core frame the result is a faster ball speed off the racket for more aggressive shot-making. And the big sweet spot ensures a constant feeling of hitting the sweet spot, even on off-centre shots.

Play with maximum comfort. Sonic Core made with Infinergy® is located in the 2 and 10 o’clock areas of the racket, dampening impact shock and reducing frame vibrations, resulting in a more comfortable hitting sensation and a reduced chance of injury.

Flex Touch Resin: Located at the throat of the racket, the Flex Touch Resin technology has high elasticity, vibration dampening and good repulsion properties. The unique high-performance thermoplastic elastomer compound ensures enhanced control, touch and comfort.

Please note: this racket cannot be restrung in a hybrid string.
