Question:
Hello, thinking of buying this racket, I have been playing for about a year so, beginner / intermediate. I would say I am a balanced player. What string / tension would you recommend? Cheers.
Answer:
A good choice of string would be the Tecnifibre 305 string around 26lbs tension.
Question:
What string tension and thickness does this racket come in?
Answer:
This racket comes a Tecnifibre Synthetic Gut 1.25mm. We are not given an exact value but usually estimate around 25lbs tension.

Answer:
we would recommend Tecnifibre 305 or Dynamix. The finer gauge gives more control but is not as durable as the slightly thicker gauge.
Question:
Hi. I am looking to buy this racket for my 16 year old son who is a good county standard squash player. If he doesn't like the racket for whatever reason are we able to return it if we have it restrung in strings of his choice and to 27lbs or can only the standard rackets be returned?
Answer:
Rackets which have been custom restrung cannot be returned to us. Please see https://www.pdhsports.com/help/trial
Question:
Hi, I’ll look at upgrading to the Tecnifibre Dynamix VP. Is that the 1.20 or 1.25 you recommend fir the Airshaft? Thanks
Answer:
The 1.20mm gauge will offer more feel, whereas the 1.25 gauge will have increased durability.
Question:

Answer:
Yes this racket would be suitable.
Question:
Currently using the x speed 125 I'm not sure as to get this one or stick with it,I like to volley a lot and go in for the kill, not sure if the racket will still allow me to attack as fast.
Answer:
These are similar to the Carboflex 125 X-Speed, but the new frame design offers quicker acceleration through the air. Whilst the new string is very elastic and offers great power.
Question:
which is better the 125 or the 130
Answer:
The Tecnifibre Carboflex Arishaft 125 is slightly lighter making it easier to manoeuvre, where as the Carboflex Airshaft 130 offers slightly more power from the rear of the court. Please see https://www.pdhsports.com/carboflex-airshaft for reviews of both rackets.
Question:
Do the extended string holes provide a bigger sweetspot? I'm wondering how forgiving this frame would be? It's between this and the Eye V Lite 120
Answer:
The enlarged grommets help to increase string movement which makes it slightly more forgiving than the previous models.
Question:
Is this more like the original carboflex (heritage), Than the carboflex s (red and black with removable bumper)?
Answer:
The Tecnifibre Airshaft rackets do not have a removable bumper.
Question:
Would you say that this is better than the x-speed version?
Answer:
The Carboflex Airshaft has updated frame geometry for a more dynamic response, as well as 4 enlarged main and cross grommets to increase string movement and power generation.
Question:
Which is an overall better racquet for an aggressive player this one or the head speed 120 graphene?
Answer:
The Tecnifibre rackets is best for attacking play if you are an experienced player, the Head speed would have a larger sweet spot for extra forgiveness and be slightly lighter but its hard to choose against the carboflex :)
Question:
Quick question: If I'm replacing the grommets on the new Airshaft, are the grommets themselves the same as the Tecnifibre X-Speed models?

The grommet strips for these racket are different as the Airshaft models have enlarged main string grommets but they may still fit.

Paul has tested these rackets and felt they were the same so any difference would be marginal, many thanks

The all-in weight of this racket is 153grams.
Question:
What's the durability like on these rackets?
Answer:
These rackets have great durability.

The Tecnifibre Carboflex Airshaft is a later version in the Carboflex range than the Carboflex S, so uses more advanced technologies to offer increased power and reduce vibrations.
