Yonex first started making badminton rackets in 1961, under the trading name of Yoneyama, until in 1974 the name was changed to Yonex and famous 'YY' logo became a familiar sight on badminton courts around the world. At the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games Yonex became the Official Badminton Equipment Supplier, and in 2010 Yonex sponsored the 100th All England Badminton Championships. Yonex have gone on to sponsor the many of the top badminton players, including Lin Dan, Lee Chong Wei and Peter Gade.
